 1st anniversary of GI status to Rasogolla, celebrating in a big way by declaring Rasogalla day by the state government in west bengal, November 14th 2017 is the  day when "Banglar Rasogolla" granted GI Tag status by the registry of geographical indications. 

  Rasogolla is a pure, white, spongy ball of "chhana", Cardamom seeds and Rose scent is specially used for flavor enhancer.

Geographical area of production includes whole West Bengal except Darjeeling District.

Rasogolla / Rasgulla is most popular in West Bengal with its unique attributes and taste , its fame has spread all over the Indian subcontinent. "Rasogolla" should add to your must try list in West Bengal.

Geographical Indications (GI) tag is given to the products which has unique characteristics which resulted from the various factors in that particular geographical area.
